Jaan @ Equinox, Swissotel

My first visit to Jaan was nearly 8 years ago, being ignorant and unappreciative, my vague memory of Jaan was only the duration of the dinner, around 4hours, and that I wanted to go home. Oh well, regrets. Decided to give Jaan another try, the whole experience can only be sum up in one word - AWESOME =)

The lunch took us about 1.5 ~ 2 hours...how I wish it was longer!

And the lunch begins with....
Complimentary appetisers to warm up our appetite

Potato Croquet with cheese
 Rye chips with Hummus dip
Smoked eel parfait with apple jelly

*As you savour the delicacies...remember to look beyond and enjoy the panoramic view of Singapore skyline* without the great mountains, natural sceneries, our city is still a beauty no doubt!

Amuse Bouche (complimentary)
Cepes Sabayon with mushroom tea
The intense taste of mushroom is so unique and if you are a mushroom lover, this "tea" is going to hit on all the right spots.

Like other fine dining restaurants, Jaan also offers a wide selection of bread (complimentary).
I choose the black truffle roll and a walnut bread. the latter tasted better. oh wad surprised me was the xmas tree like butter imported from england, so cute haha and it jus melts into the warm heat of the breads.

55′ Smoked Organic Hen Egg: Jerusalem Artichoke Veloute, Chanterelle & Porcini Crumbs, Iberico Belotta
The egg was poached for 55 minutes, hence the name. Absolutely delicious. I just wish I had a bigger stomach and eat 2 servings.

 Main course : Fish
it's a pity that I couldn't recall the name of the dish but it's absolutely lovely! juicy and tender =)

Juniper Roasted Venison Tenderloin: Pear, Celeraic, Perigord Truffle

( That's my partner's main, and he thoroughly enjoyed it too )

Palate cleanser - mango mousse with lychee sorbet
love this! I have a soft spot for desserts....

 Choconuts 2012
this is the 2012 version, hence the name. comes with a coffee on the side as well.
Look at that! the choc is so thin, Everything just MELTS into your mouth...how divine!

And when you thought the 3 course meal is coming to an end. (I was already feeling full)
here comes the lasts of the last!

 Petit Fours
The lollipop look alike is actually rosemary ice cream =)

The total bill for 2 of us was over $100. But it's definitely great value for money. Jaan is simply exquisite, I bet every of their diners want to be back again =) Well done Chef Julien Royer!

Overall: 10/10
I really can't ask for more =) the food / services / ambience, everything was perfecto!
